FS18: Cultivators, planters and fertilizers

You will use only those cultivators, for loosening the soil (in this part of the series there are no plows). Available only two models that differ in width and how much extra load they add. After harvest, you should always aerate your fields.

If you have a powerful enough tractor, you can buy a bigger drill

Using seeding equipment you put on the received field vegetables/crops. Two of the available models are used for planting the seed of most crops, and, as in the case of the cultivator, their only difference is the size of the planted area in one trip. However, if you want to plant potatoes, you need to use a special machine, which is suitable only for potatoes.

Fertilizer

To fertilize the field, you can use different machines. They are divided into three categories and in each of them you can find two cars – the ones that have the same type, different size of fertilized area and fertilizer. Fertilizers increase yield for about 30%, but they do not affect how quickly will be to grow the culture. Artificial fertilizer need to fill on your base, and it is costly. However, this is a very fast way to increase yield.

The second option is to use a slurry which can only be obtained by selling the grass, or by placing straw or chaff in the installation of biogas.

A third option is to use a natural fertilizer that is created from straw and animal feces (cow or pig). You can fill it, placing the machine for fertilizer in the fertilizer icon next to the breeding place.
